The Journey of Self-discovery
As we grow older, everything in life can be mentally abusive. We all get really overwhelmed with what’s next. Some may feel unchanged and unimproved, some may feel no purpose in life, and others may feel what all this is for. Some try to be productive daily with small things, but eventually lose control of their lives and themselves. Some feel calm and try to enjoy the present and not think too much about the future, but at some point, they get pressure from their surrounding to do something. All this confusion and chaos is the colour of our lives, and it’s normal to experience it. And here it is, the new journey of self-discovery. Maybe you think you understand yourself completely, and why do I have to feel this kind of confusion again? Then, just think that this is an advanced level of understanding yourself and forming the life goals that you really want.
Understanding yourself is not easy, it is complicated, not something that can be done quickly. Going through chaos and confusion is needed before we can really analyze ourselves and what we really want. So, this is called a process. It does not matter whether we need three, five, ten months or even a year, or five years to get a better understanding of yourself, the most important thing is that you will start today to create a connection and communicate with yourself. It will be a long journey of your life and you have to be patient on that because, in the end, you will find a stunning diamond that you have made all this time within yourself. One day you will also realize that these times are moments when you are grateful because this incident has taught you something valuable.
Once you understand how you really are, you can start to create how is the real life you want to live. Start to write down anything on your thought, or if you need some ideas you can read books or surround yourself with people. Socializing is one of the ways to start knowing yourself deeper. However, keep in mind that you have to pay attention to what kind of community and people you want to get involved. Setting goals also requires a long process and don’t rush because believe me on every journey you will also find new lessons that will form new values in yourself.
For anyone who feels aimless, worried about the future, and unqualified in anything. It’s just one of the phases of life, no matter how long it is, the most important thing is that you respond to it with something positive, then everything will be fine. You did your best! Tomorrow something good will be waiting for you :D
